I took the transfer case out, did the pump rub fix and installed a new (doorman because I couldn't find anything better) shift motor and encoder to put in there. Boom. Problem solved! No more "Service 4wd System" messages and everything worked perfectly!83k miles on my 2020 Silverado with 6.2l. I just had service ESC, parking light, traction control blinking,check engine light solid. Loud clunking noise and sounded really rough after accelerating. Had it towed to the dealer and had to replace a bank of lifters, bent rod, rocker arm and cam shaft replacement.The lights on mine would blink but it would not lock into 4 wheel drive.
