So, how are you folks going about feeding large herds now that many animals have been converted to pen-constrained creatures? My previous method was to make a pasture zone that was the entire map, minus my compound and living spaces for my pawns. However, that pasture zone DID have access to a route to my large freezer food storage.Plant haygrass outside the pen and stockpile it in a barn you build adjacent to the pen. ( Small building, animal flap for the door connected directly to the side of the pen. Animals can go in and out, also good for shelter when it gets cold. ) Don't grow haygrass IN the pen.
