There is also an anode on the stern bracket. In order to function properly, anodes need to be clean, metal to metal contact with the housing. You can acess #74 anode bolt under the trim tab plate.With the engine running, turn the trunion and get the idle to where it belongs. Race the throttle slightly a couple times to see where the idle drops to and adjust as needed. On a flushette, set a 20" shaft model to 1000 rpm... a 25" shaft to 1200 rpm. It does not put any pressure on the fuel pump the fuel pump only draws/sucks what it needs.
