The SRO has a bigger window, weighs a bit more, and is just larger in general. The RMR has a more tinted window, is smaller, and has a narrower window. I personally like my RMRs, and I have used them on my Sig M17 and on top of my ACOG. I think you'd be alright with either in terms of durability.I would again, choose an RMR type 2.
