For personal quest #2, the wording is to collect loot CARDS from loot tokens. The quest is not about collecting resources, but cards. Cards are indeed collected whether a scenario is won or lost, but resources are not collected during a failed scenario. Funny enough, my personal quest was to kill 15 Vermlings and the first scenario we played had a bunch of Vermlings in it and I managed to kill 16 in the scenario, so as soon as I replayed LB.
