I have found Four numbers. 3970010 along with "hecho en mexico" on the back drivers side. 254 on the back passenger side. 010 on the drivers side in front of the oil filter. and the engine code is "MK01800."Chevy Small Block - Engine Block Casting Numbers Notes (for below): "High Power" is the maximum rate HP this block was used for, "Low Power" is the lowest rated horsepower RPO engine the block was used in. "Main Caps" is the number of bolts holding the cap. The number itself can have 6, 7 or 8 numeral digits. They might look like this “361959” or “3970010” or “14015445”. The block casting numbers do not have any letters in them. There are sometimes other individual letters found on blocks like “GM” or “CFD” for the Central Foundry Division, but they are not part of the block ...Anyone know this block GM 41 3970010. I know its a 350, (I believe), has a drivers side dipstick and a "8" for its build year. I would think 1978 cause the small pad in the front of the engine is the smaller square shape not the longer more narrow older style pad for 1968. The pad is smooth so theres no engine codes. Its cast GM 41 by the 3970010.It is a 3970010 four bolt block which sounds like it was produced from 69-79. It appears to be a higher nickel block as it has the 010 casted behind the timing chain cover and the back of the block above the crankshaft flywheel flange. Be nice to know what year it was casted. I have 3 E 17 on the right side between the frost plugs.

But the "AAB" code narrows it down to the 1976 model C-60 (big truck chassis) like a grain truck, heating oil delivery truck, Fire tanker truck, etc. So block is a 1976.
