My car is a 2015 Chevy Cruze. It was hit in a parking lot a month after getting it on the lot, but the damage was on the back of the car and completely repaired by a good shop. I've had the timing belt changed by a repuable shop, and it wasn't cheap. they also did the water pump at the same time (I think it was around 87k miles).Good Morning, I have 2012 Chevy Cruze LS. You can only put the crank pulley on 2 ways on a 1.4L. 1. The right way. Or. 2. 180 degrees out of phase. The crank pulley should sit flush with the timing cover. Make sure that the oil pump didn't move on you. It has flat spots that ride on the crankshaft as well.
