Maintenance light on SeaDoo 2001 GTX Di. 05-25-2010, 07:06 AM. I have a SeaDoo 2001 GTX Di 2 stroke 951. First time out in the water & got a maintenance light on display. The PWC went into a limp mode (would not rev faster than 4,600) Brought it back to a mechanic put it on the computer & no fault code appeared. MPEM was reset.DooWacka posted these comments in another thread (2002 GTX DI Fuel pumps) reagrding my q's about rectifiers etc and it was quite informative too: I am surprised that I have only had to replace 3 Rectifier/Regulators, since it is quite often a problem on these units. I always have a couple of new ones along just in case.

Hey, I just recently purchased a 2002 SeadDoo RX DI and its starting to give me problems. The machine is in good condition and it only has 78 hours on it. It seems to keep burning out spark plugs as soon as I start running it. The two middle pins are for the fuel sending unit. I would unplug the fuel pump plug and stick your meter probes on the two outer wires. The previous owner jump started both the seadoos with his car show us that they were working. After some research I believe jumping them from the car might have damaged the MPEM of the 2002. Trying to help a friend out on his 02 GTX 4-Tec. For some reasons it won't start or make click sound when press start. Brand new battery, all fuses are good, it does make 2 beeps sound when key attached, no codes but it does show SENSOR on dash! Regarding measurements, the Sea-Doo RX platform was 1 Lube sleeve and install back into engine. Rotate engine until connecting rod bolt can be installed onto counterbalance. Clean and inspect counterbalance cover and O ring. Replace O ring if necessary. Clean and inspect compressor head. Using a new gasket reinstall the head and connect everything back.
